Dallas City Council votes YES to new animal control ordinances

Great news! Thanks to the support of thousands of people, including those brave souls who stood up and presented to the Dallas City Council, the proposed ordinances were voted in by the Council today, with a 10-3 split.

Voting for the ordinance: Mayor Tom Leppert, Mayor Pro Tem Elba Garcia, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway and council members Linda Koop, Steve Salazar, Mitchell Rasansky, Tennell Atkins, Vonciel Jones Hill, Dave Neumann and Jerry Allen.

Voting against the ordinance: Council members Sheffie Kadane, Ron Natinsky and Angela Hunt.

Please take the time to thank your Council member for their vote as they now move forward with implementation and plans for enforcement of the new laws.
